Spark Academy is not your typical residential treatment center; it's a specialized environment that feels more like a therapeutic boarding school exclusively designed for neurodiverse teenagers. Our students, aged 13 to 18, embark on a transformative journey that spans approximately a year, equipping them with the essential skills needed for success in the real world.
Neurodiverse teens come to Spark Academy after struggling in a world where they don’t quite fit. We meet them there - we understand that world. Our approach begins with a strong emphasis on attunement and fostering healthy attachments. Spark caregivers actively co-regulate with your child, supporting them until they develop the essential skills for self-regulation. After gaining a solid foundation in regulation skills, students become better equipped to grasp and apply the executive functioning skills required for daily life. At Spark Academy, our comprehensive milieu and specialized continuum of care offer a diverse range of opportunities for students to practice these skills in settings that increasingly resemble real life, ultimately preparing them for a successful transition to life beyond Spark.
WE ARE NOT CONTENT WITH THE STATUS QUO. OUR PASSION IS IMPROVING EVERY FACET OF NEURODIVERSE TREATMENT. PERIOD.
NORMALIZED TEEN EXPERIENCES
In Spark Academy we also believe in normalized teen experiences. Located on the 19-acre Heritage Community Campus, Spark students participate in school assemblies, student council, dances - even prom. Students make friends and in our cafeteria, no one eats alone.
CONTINUUM OF CARE
Spark’s home settings change and grow with your child, challenging them to use and apply their gained skills in settings that feel more like real life as they move closer to completion.
